FOUR CORNERS

SCOPE
Four Corners is a nature magazine that discusses underrated national parks in the United States. Each park featured in the magazine offers a historical summary. The articles discuss establishment of the parks and the wide variety of culture that can be explored when visiting.

METHOD
The process of designing this magazine involved extensive research on each chosen national park. I gathered images, typography studies, and color palette options. When designing, my goal was to create a magazine that amplified the rejuvenating qualities of the great outdoors. Photos extend beyond the picture plain, similar to how the parks extend beyond what the eye can see. A serif typeface is used throughout the entire magazine. With a natural color palette, Four Corners offers a rich escape to places around the United States. The look and feel of Four Corners magazine offers a sleek and professional experience while providing educational information to the viewer. This project increased my knowledge of publication design, specifically stylesheets in Adobe InDesign. The majestic full spread photos allow the beauty of each park to shine through in their own distinctive way.
